Use of personal data collected

Comments

When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and the user agent of your browser are collected to help us detect unwanted comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After validation of your comment, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images.

Contact forms

The information provided in contact forms will be stored only for the purpose of responding to your message.
We will keep contact form submissions for a period of two years for customer service purposes, but we will not use them for marketing purposes.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in this information again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a number of cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. A login cookie lasts for two days, and a screen options cookie lasts for a year. If you check “Remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with this embedded content if you have an account connected to their website. Please be aware that we, Les Petites Fées, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Statistics and audience measurement

We have installed a WordPress Google Analytics plugin that provides statistics services. This anonymously analyzes connections to allow us to provide you with a better service.

Use and transmission of your personal data

By default, WordPress does not share your personal information with anyone. We have chosen to share the data collected only with secure services allowing the proper functioning of the site: payment gateway (Stripe), email and newsletter sending system (Mailpoet).

Storage duration of your data

Marketing data is kept for a maximum of 3 years, and data related to the invoicing of your orders for a maximum of 6 years.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.

For users that register on our site, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you.
